Just 40km from Perth CBD, the Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct will serve as a development and testing ground for the future of automation, robotics and remote operations in Western Australia.
Industry, innovators and researchers across sectors, will have the opportunity to accelerate technology and analytics testing and scaling, without interrupting on-site production and activities.
The Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct is one of the biggest test facilities of its kind in the world.
CORE Innovation Hub is pleased to have been appointed as Operator of the Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct (AARP), located in Perth’s north, by DevelopmentWA.
On behalf of DevelopmentWA’s Industrial Lands Authority, CORE will lead an industry-driven collaboration model alongside partners to deliver a leading research, development and testing ground for automation, remote operations, and robotics.
Users will have access to planned facilities including:
Common User test beds
laboratories and design co-labs
a Common User Facility (CUF) operations building
A World Leading Facility
accelerate technology and analytics testing and scaling, without interrupting on-site production and activities.
Strategically located 40km north of the Perth CBD in Western Australia, the Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct will serve as a development and testing ground.
The initial 51 hectare site has the potential to expand in the future, and will be used for testing, research and development, and training in autonomous, remote operations, and robotic systems and equipment.
The AARP will become a globally linked and locally relevant test facility with test laboratories, virtual laboratories and design co-labs.

DevelopmentWA is the State Government’s central development agency, operating across Western Australia with a diverse portfolio of industrial, commercial and residential projects.
DevelopmentWA is the lead developer of the $28M automation and robotics precinct located near Perth, Western Australia. The AARP will be a focal point for development, and testing and demonstration of automation and advanced robotics applied to some of Australia’s most important sectors, including mining and resources and energy, renewables, agriculture, defence, construction, manufacturing, logistics, transport and education.
This Precinct is not a traditional land development; it has been designed to create economic benefit (jobs, exports and inward investment) for the nation by helping reduce barriers to the adoption of automation and robotics, and generating a technology-driven uplift in productivity and sustainability.
