We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Service Manager to lead a medium-sized team of coordinators and technicians. You will be responsible for creating and executing business plans and budgets, ensuring exceptional customer service, and supporting various programs and teams. This role involves occasional travel, maintaining technician skill sets, staying updated on competitor activity, and collaborating with other departments to monitor and identify trends.
  
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will overseeing service operations and strategic planning and be part of a 12 person Executive Team that play a pivotal role in the strategic direction of the company and set an example for the standards of MineARC
  
The Role:

  • Manage and motivate a medium-sized team of coordinators and technicians

  • Report to senior management via weekly Executive Committee meetings

  • Proactively achieve strategies outlined in the business plan

  • Be responsible for the creation of an annual business plan and budget

  • Ensure all our clients are adhering to the correct service schedules

  • Provide our clients with exceptional customer service

  • Mentor our coordinators and technicians to assist them to provide exceptional customer service

  • Support the Technical Advisor in the refurbishment program

  • Work alongside the regional BDM’s and support them in their service responsibilities within their regions

  • Ensure service technicians are recognising opportunities and communicating with the sales team

  • Occasional travel to mine sites (including international mine sites) for auditing, servicing, training, and capturing BD opportunities

  • Work with our training manager to maintain the skill sets of our technicians across all products, including new technologies

  • Ensure our service team stays up to date with all new MineARC products

  • Be aware of competitor activity

  • Monitor spare parts sales and identify trends

  • Work closely with other departments to monitor

  
About You:

  • Strong knowledge of the Australian underground mining sector

  • Prior hands-on technical experience

  • Excellent troubleshooting capabilities

  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Excel

  • High level of customer service

  • Ability to react effectively in adverse conditions and think on your feet
