CORE Innovation Hub Turns 5! Let’s Mambo!
CORE Innovation Hub was established to help the resources and energy sector power the human enterprises of tomorrow. When CORE was founded there was a deep sense of how technology and innovation were shaping the future of mining and energy organisations coupled with the knowledge of how big an impact such innovation was likely to create within some of Australia’s most influential and important industries.
Now in its 5th year, CORE is Australia’s first innovation hub for the resources sector. Over the years, the dedicated team have established a national ecosystem for suppliers, researchers, entrepreneurs and industry to connect and collaborate on innovative solutions across mining, resources, energy, defence and space sectors.
Along with a vibrant co-working space in the heart of the Perth CBD, CORE opened an Adelaide office in 2020 and have just announced our first regional Hub in Newman, opening in 2021.
Our ecosystem aims to create opportunities for start-up, scale-ups, SMEs and Industry. CORE has been lucky enough to partner and work with more than 1600 companies across the years. We have run numerous entrepreneurial development programs in the form of CORE Start and CORE Sprint, and graduated more than 250+ businesses from our programs. Most recently CORE has introduced CORE Exchange to celebrate ideas and innovation at every level of the ecosystem and the Hot 30 Awards, the first nationwide awards celebrating innovation within the mining, resources, energy, defence and space sectors.
Knowing the power of data and the key role it plays in business today, the team has developed and piloted CORE Skills, a data-science program aimed at upskilling managers and business leaders with the knowledge and know-how to interpret and use big data in their roles, teams and across organisations.
CORE Innovation Hub, at its heart, is about connecting people. We have achieved a lot over the years, but none of that would have been possible without our partners, members and friends. We were delighted to see and celebrate with so many of you at the 5th Birthday celebrations and would like to thank each and everyone of you for coming along and toasting to a wonderful, sometimes challenging but ultimately exciting 5 years.
