Introducing Eavor - our newest CORE resident

Eavor (pronounced “Ever”) is a technology-based Energy company dedicated to creating a clean, reliable and affordable energy future on a global scale. Founded in Alberta, Canada in 2017, the Company has developed an innovative geothermal technology, Eavor-LoopTM, that doesn’t require a hot water reservoir, making it a much more widely applicable renewable energy technology – which is green, truly scalable and works in baseload and dispatchable modes.

Eavor, through its innovative technology, is able to eliminate many of the issues that have hindered traditional geothermal solutions. The completely closed-loop system has additional advantages of no fracking, no GHG emissions, no earthquake risk, no water use, no produced brine or solids, and no aquifer contamination.

Instead, Eavor circulates a benign working fluid which is completely isolated from the environment in a closed loop, much like a massive subsurface radiator.

The Eavor Loop

Unlike traditional geothermal, Eavor isn’t burdened with exploratory risk or limited to niche geographies through the need for highly permeable aquifers at volcanic-like temperatures. Unlike wind and solar, Eavor is not intermittent, but instead produces much-needed reliable baseload power. Eavor’s footprint is minuscule in comparison with other renewables. For the same surface land use, Eavor-LoopTM can generate at least 35x more power than solar and 180x more than wind, and with a goal of having 10 million households powered, heated or cooled with Eavor-LoopTM, this innovative technology provides a new way to achieve scalable green energy.

Ewa Ginal-Cumblidge recently joined the CORE community as the only company representative in Australia. Ewa makes use of CORE’s hot-desk setup as she doesn’t need a permanent office. Working at CORE gives her an opportunity to connect with other people doing interesting things in the energy and resources space and offers a convenient location in the Perth CBD.

Beyond her work with Eavor, Ewa is also keen to grow and develop her involvement in CORE, having already served as a mentor for CORE Sprint: Female Founders in 2020. She is passionate about helping others and sharing her business development skills and experience working across regions and cultures.
