Meet Simon! Our New Adelaide Innovation Hub Lead
CORE Innovation Hub is so pleased to welcome Simon in the role of Adelaide Innovation Hub Lead. Simon is a dedicated and driven individual who is committed to continuous learning and growth.
Hailing from South Africa, Simon was previously the Director of Business Development at Skysite Rope Access, a specialist consulting and project management firm that provides rope access, waterproofing, work at height safety consulting, rigging, signage and labor services to heavy industry and the building refurbishment and construction sectors.
Under Simon's leadership, Skysite achieved significant growth and cemented a national footprint, working on high profile projects throughout Africa, Asia and South America. They hold contracts with some of South Africa's most iconic buildings and institutions, and were awarded the FEM Health and Safety Excellence Award in 2015.
Simon also served as a non-executive director for Skysite Offshore, a subsidiary of Skysite Rope Access. In this role, he contributed his expertise and provided strategic guidance to the company's management team. Simon has over 18 years of experience in the engineering, inspection, construction, and maintenance sectors, where he has provided operational leadership in the provision of services, consulting, and project management.
Simon has a passion for enabling and connecting innovators and industry specialists to collaborate and find solutions to the challenges of consequence within industries of impact. Using his passion, Simon will continue to drive the development of our newly expanded Adelaide Hub helping foster and engage a connected and collaborative national energy and mining ecosystem.
