The Newman Chamber of Commerce & Industry Business Excellence Awards is recognised as the most prestigious annual event on the Newman business calendar and the Awards celebrate the achievement of both business enterprises and individuals in the Shire of East Pilbara. Local businesses are the focus of the Newman economy and the Newman Business Excellence Awards offer a significant opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments and successes.
In line with the purpose of the Awards, CORE Innovation Hub is committed to helping drive Newman businesses forward and support the continued growth of the local economy. Our goal is to help build a vibrant, adaptive and resilient business community in Newman and celebrate the businesses that are achieving big things within the region and beyond.
There are seven major categories for the Business Excellence Awards including:

Retail, Micro/Home-based Business Award
Service Business Award
Nor-for-Profit/Community Award
Entrepreneur & Innovator Award
Mining, Energy and Resources Award
CORE Innovation Hub is very excited to announce that we will be sponsoring the Mining, Energy and Resources Award, presenting the winning organisation with $5000!
To be considered for the award businesses need to demonstrate innovative approaches and technology, applaud leading practice, and acknowledge the delivery of exceptional leadership in the East Pilbara Region.
In addition to this, CORE will be looking to award a Mining, Energy and Resources business that can demonstrate:
They will be a micro business and/or small to medium enterprise.
Have an annual turnover of less than $3 million.
Employ less than 10 people.
Have a registered business address or business premises, based within the East Pilbara region.
NCCI will choose 2 x finalists for this exciting new award category and the winner will be chosen on the night by CORE Innovation Hub.
CORE is looking forward to presenting the award to the successful company on Saturday, September 10.
