Core Innovation is delighted to welcome Rig Technologies to the Perth Hub! Founded by Tim Hooper, the team are engineering tools to allow real-time drilling optimisation and formation evaluation for reverse circulation (RC) drilling. Rig Technologies’ mission is to help the mining industry transition to a remote operations environment - getting better data faster.

Recently the team was awarded funding for their project through METS Ignited and CRC-P.
Through its rapid product development process, Rig Technologies has since launched four complementary tools and systems that accelerate downhole data logging technologies to help mitigate risk and evaluate opportunities. The team is currently undergoing field-trials with two major Iron Ore companies in Western Australia.
Rig Technologies chose to be part of CORE Innovation Hub, Perth to help foster a sense of community and leverage the ideas, insights, and resources of like-minded organisations.
General Manager, Darren Palmer said, “Even though we are working in a well-defined market – geophysical data acquisition services – our products are new and quite novel. We are breaking new ground in how and what data is acquired from site, and most importantly, what companies are doing with that data once they have it.
