Austrade’s San Fran Landing Pad is Now Taking Applications!

Austrade’s is currently accepting applications for it’s San Francisco Landing Pad Summer 2022 Cohort.

This cohort will run from July 18 – October 18, 2022. This year participants are encouraged to travel to the US and attend this Landing Pad cohort in person and take advantage of the physical space on offer.

How it will help you

Austrade and their network of experienced US go-to-market specialists will set you up for success by providing a combination of group workshops and boot camps as well as one-on-one mentoring.

The program includes:

  • Guidance on identifying and targeting US customers

  • Advice on how to access angel investors, venture capital and other potential sources of investment

  • Introductions to local government agencies offering support programs for new businesses and scaleups

  • Advice on how to leverage networks in the market to meet with peers, decision makers and influencers

  • Referrals to professional services and advisory firms

  • Advice on how to navigate the local US business culture

  • Access to co-working space Mindspace in downtown San Francisco for 90 days (one desk per company)

You'll also gain access to Austrade's extensive Landing Pad Mentor Network and their vast digital resources to support your US entry plans.

Who should apply?

Austrade are looking for tech-enabled scaleups that are ‘born global’, and by their very nature will disrupt the marketplace to achieve their potential as high-growth and high-return enterprises.

Your business should be prepared to execute on its US go-to-market strategy, and be seeking advice, connections or specialised support to fast track your growth in the US.

In determining successful applicants, Austrade will consider your:

  • Vision – what are your objectives for the US and how are you going to achieve them?

  • Scalability – can you deliver your product or service to 100 or 1 million customers?

  • Traction – do you have a proof-of-concept, existing sales and customers, funding, investors and partners?

  • Differentiation – how does your offering disrupt its marketplace, and what is your value proposition and vision for growth?

  • Market relevance – how would 90 days in a Landing Pad make a difference?

If you are offered a space at the Landing Pad, Austrade will put in place an agreement with you that sets out the program's terms and conditions and mutual obligations. We will ask that you commit to the programming and that at least 1 founder is present for all programming and mentor sessions.

While Austrade’s services for this program are free of charge, participants are required to meet all costs associated with their travel, accommodation and insurance, and obtain an appropriate visa for the market.
