CORE Innovation Hub Celebrates Austmine 2021
Last week the CORE Innovation Hub team joined 1500 other mining professionals for the Austmine Conference held at the Perth Convention Centre.
The Austmine Conference provides an opportunity for mining professionals and leaders to connect around the strategic priorities, key innovations and emerging technologies driving a sustainable industry future.
With a proud 30 year history, this year's exceptional line-up of speakers focused on innovation and harnessing Intelligence to discuss the latest developments and thinking driving the mining industry forward.
In line with CORE Innovation Hub’s mission of where the resources and energy sector powers the human enterprises of tomorrow, Austmine 2021 explored the intersection between people, processes and technology and how all these important elements contribute to leaner, smarter and more sustainable operations.
The exhibition floor was another hive of activity with more than 100 exhibitors showcasing the latest technology and innovation, proving why the Australian METS industry is world-class.
CORE Innovation Hub was proud to host a stall within the exhibition hall and the team was excited to connect with so many people and build new relationships as well as strengthen existing partnerships. Our Adelaide team flew in to represent our Hub in South Australia and it was fantastic to be joined by the Department of Energy and Mining and to see so many of our members and Hot 30 Winners represented on the floor including AI Spanner, Dash Maintainer Tools, INX Software, LiveMine, MX3 Diagnostics, Portable PPB, Razor Labs, and RaptorTech.
The Austmine Industry Leaders’ Dinner and Awards was a key highlight with over 900 people attending. The fantastic event was run seamlessly with guest speaker and cricketing great, Justin Langer, entertaining the audience with his hilarious yet honest talk about leadership.
The highlight of the event was undoubtedly seeing CORE Innovation Hot 30 Winner, Dash Maintainer Tools, take home the Miners Innovation Award on the night for their innovative product that aims to eliminate live work from mobile mining equipment checks. By using sensors on heavy mining equipment, manual maintenance works performed by frontline staff, are able to be carried out from up to 80 metres away, making the work site safer for staff.
Austmine 2021 was a fantastic conference that celebrated the exceptional innovation talent we have in Australian Mining. CORE Innovation Hub is pleased to be a part of such a great event and grateful to have the opportunity to connect in person after such a challenging 18 months. We’re already looking forward to Austmine 2022.
