Introducing Natalie Carter: Regional Business Lead
CORE Innovation Hub is excited to announce Natalie Carter is joining the team as Regional Business Lead WA! Nat will be joining the CORE team two days a week to head up the launch and management of our first regional innovation hub in Newman, in partnership with BHP.
Nat is currently also running Spacecubed’s Y Hub co-working space in Yanchep, WA. Her hands on experience in building community and supporting businesses in regional settings ensures she is the perfect candidate to help launch the Newman Hub.
Nat describes her background as very diverse having started her career in a crayfishing factory before moving into administration. It was here Nat decided to expand her skills set choosing to study Event Management and taking on roles in the events and travel industry with Flight Centre. During her time with Flight Centre, Nat was lucky enough to travel often however, she eventually decided to pursue more work/life balance and Nat pivoted to PA work in orthopaedics, before joining Spacecubed as a PA eventually taking on the Y Hub co-working space.
CORE is so pleased to be able to bring Nat on two days a week and draw on her extensive background and experience to ensure the success of the Newman Hub.

Nat will be working in partnership with BHP and hopes to esblish strong working relationships with The Shire of East Pilbara, C-Res, NCCI, and Creating Communities to deliver outcomes to the mining and mining-adjacent companies within Newman and the broader Pilbara region.

CORE Innovation Hub, Newman is powered by BHP. The partnership aims to drive innovation within the region through the establishment of a bustling co-working and METS Hub. CORE will run the Innovation Hub giving local suppliers, small and medium businesses and industry access to co-working space, meeting rooms, and more opportunities to expand and grow throughout the Pilbara region through the creation of a connected business community and programs offered to support businesses.
