Skills Lab by SAGE Group is building a smarter workforce.

Our friends at SAGE Group are building the next generation of engineers today. Through their training division Skills Lab, RTO Code 45486, this industry-led training organisation is working to nurture an agile workforce with the skills and knowledge to keep ahead of the rapid changes affecting some of our most important industries.

Skills Lab was created specifically to meet the demand for high-quality learning targeting current and future industry needs. It brings together the nation's brightest minds and expert trainers and is backed by SAGE Group's foundations in smart systems and Industry 4.0 technology, to equip the next generation of employees with the knowledge and skills we need today, through hands-on learning.

Focused on industrial automation and control, instrumentation, big data and cloud based systems, Skills Lab offers the next generation of VET pathways offering young people entry into engineering careers with top-tier businesses in a 3-year paid to learn model. Spearheaded by industry, the Digital Engineering Higher Apprenticeship program seeks out passionate, technically minded school leavers and young people.

The first-of-kind apprenticeship has been developed at the direct request of business leaders to produce the digital specialists they want on their teams. Apprentices will walk away with a range of knowledge and skills to perform the following functions associated with Industry 4.0 engineering environments including:

  • understanding the concepts and principles of Industry 4.0
